
We are a family-owned olive oil mill, born in Sicily and grown with the goal of producing authentic, high-quality extra virgin olive oil.
We have always combined artisanal care with modern techniques to offer a product that reflects the quality of our land.
Oleificio G. Messina was founded in 1937 thanks to the vision and tireless work of Giovanni Messina, who led the company until 1965.
The first facility was simple but ingenious: a large granite millstone rotating inside a masonry basin, pulled by a donkey.
The olives were slowly crushed and then pressed with manual presses, producing a genuine oil, the result of hard work and tradition.

Over the years, Giovanni Messina repeatedly upgraded the facility, introducing new mechanical and automated solutions that increased quality and safety while preserving artisanal knowledge.
In 1965, management passed to his son Salvatore, who marked a turning point: transforming the traditional system into a modern continuous-cycle press system.
This shift brought the mill into the technological era, ensuring greater efficiency and ever higher quality.
Today, the oil mill is run by his son Giovanni Messina and his son-in-law Salvatore Licciardello.
With the same dedication as their predecessors, they continue to process olives united by a goal unchanged since 1937:
to produce an excellent Extra Virgin Olive Oil, a pride of our territory and an ambassador of the Mediterranean diet worldwide.
